Product description

Could Jaguar pull off their first big triumph in sports car racing since Le Mans in 1957?

That was the question on the lips of the patriotic Silverstone crowd at the 1986 1000 kilometre World Sportscar Championship race.

To do it they would have to shift the experienced Derek Bell-Hans Stuck Porsche combination.

The Lancia-Martinis also had the speed and handling to cope with the Northamptonshire circuit.

This video charts the race in every detail, from the 175 mph sweeping curves at Chapel and Abbey to the hair-raising Woodcote Bend.

To aid their cause, Jaguar had recruited GP exiles Derek Warwick and Eddie Cheever.

Did they pull it off? Watch this tape and learn for yourself.
