The famous octagonal logo of MG first appeared during the roaring twenties.
The special bodied Morris cars proved very popular and soon the company progressed to producing complete cars.
They quickly attracted a strong following, particularly amongst sports car fans and the competition versions achieved a great deal of success at domestic and international level.
Cars were entered in events as diverse as Brooklands speed and endurance tests, the Land’s End Trial and Le Mans 24 Hour races.
This updated programme features all the important models such as the 18/80, K-type Magnette, C-Type Midget, SA and WA saloons and the famous MGB.
Unsurprisingly a lot of attention is lavished on the T-Types of the ‘30s and ‘50s.
The programme also explores the tumultuous history of the brand through the ’80s, ‘90s and ‘00s before its eventual purchase and rebirth under new Chinese owners.
The Best of British Series is produced independently but made with the full co-operation of the subject manufacturers. It is not officially licensed or endorsed by them.
