Not all Legends are prolific winners. Roy Salvadori only stood
on the podium twice in 50 races yet he etched his name as deeply in the record
books as any other driver.
Born in England to parents of Italian descent, Salvadori
started racing in the post-War years eventually winning at Le Mans and achieving success at World
Championship Grand Prix for a range of marques including Maserati, BRM and
Aston Martin.
Despite not being in the top echelons of Grand Prix drivers
Roy was passionate and respected by his fellow competitors – this is his story.
