Peter Collins may not have had the raw talent of his close friend and teammate Mike Hawthorn but he could never be said to lack in bravery or tenacity.

Killed in a tragic accident at the Nurburgring in 1958, he’d lived his short life to the full and, despite winning only three races, he’d made sure he’d be remembered as a Grand prix Legend.
