This programme celebrates the careers of Grand Prix racing legends Alberto Ascari and Giuseppe 'Nino' Farina.
Farina won the very first GP and first World Championship of the modern age in 1950 and developed a 'straight-arm' driving style which would be much copied.
Ascari would succeed Nino as World Champion, taking the Formula One crown in both 1952 and 1953. He was tragically killed in a testing crash at Monza in 1955, at the height of his fame.
