The 19th Annual Pepsi Challenge Daytona 24 Hours at the Daytona International Speedway took place in 1981 and served as the opening round of the IMSA GT Championship.
The race was another battle of the Porsche 935s who had won the previous three Daytona endurance races and it was business as usual in 1981 as overall victory was secured by the Garretson Racing Style Auto team of Bob Garretson, Bobby Rahal and Brian Redman, driving a Porsche 935K3 and completing a total of 708 laps.
