Big-time motor racing came to Malaysia when 16 of the top sports cars battled out the Selangor 800 near Kuala Lumpur in the 1985 World Sportscar Championship. The race was a close competition between the factory Porsches (Derek Bell, Hans Stuck, Jochen Mass & Jacky Ickx) and Jaguars, (Jan Lammers, Gianfranco Brancatelli) with a few Fords thrown in for good measure. There is a lot more to success than merely engaging the quickest drivers - behind-the-scenes pit-work is equally important and you are right in there working alongside the mechanics. Find out who was first across the line after over 200 punishing laps lasting over five-and-a-half hours.
