The Guia street circuit in Macau is narrow, bumpy and tight – perfect for the World’s best road racers to show off their skills.
In November every year riders and fans from across the globe converge on the former Portuguese colony on China’s south coast for the awesome Macau Grand Prix.
The 3.8-mile course twists its way through the centre of the busy metropolis, passing between high-rise building, under motorway bridges and rounding the harbour.
Lined with concrete and Armco it is not a forgiving course but it makes for some really exciting racing as stars such as multiple winner Michael Rutter, John McGuinness, Lee Johnston and Ian Hutchinson get to work.
The 2015 race saw a brilliant break-away battle between Martin Jessopp and Peter Hickman, the full highlights of which are captured here for your enjoyment.
You’ll also find loads of exciting on-board footage filmed with the latest ‘gyro-cams’ which give you a real insight into exactly what the riders are seeing as they flash through the canyon-like city streets at well over a hundred miles an hour… it’s genuinely scary!
