January is Blu-ray month as motorsport fans await three of the big 2019 reviews on Blu-ray.
Blu-ray is unquestionably the best format for collectors who value picture quality and durability. It’s really frustrating for us here at Duke, then, that the more involved Blu-ray production process inevitably means the discs arrive later than the equivalent DVDs.
With seasons growing ever-longer and finishing closer and closer to Christmas, the mission to get Blu-ray versions of reviews finished in time for release before the big day is getting harder every year.
Corners could be cut to give us a better chance of hitting the pre-Christmas deadline, but what would be the point of compromising on the quality of what is supposed to be the reference version of the review?
The good news is that we’ve heard from the replicators and the big three – MotoGP, Formula 1 and WRC – are on the production schedule.
Although there is always some uncertainty in the supply chain, we’re confident of receiving the Blu-rays in time to hit the delivery dates shown on the product pages.
