Over three compelling days in September 2007, Europe's elite golfers went head to head with America's finest at Halmstad Golfklubb in Sweden. Record crowds of more than 100,000 flocked to Halmstad to enjoy the passion and emotion of women's golf's most prestigious team event.
Europe's hopes of regaining The Solheim Cup, played for the second time in Sweden, ended in disappointment when the United States came from behind to claim the singles 8.5-3.5 and finish16-12 ahead overall. With a fine performance, the talented United States line-up made history by winning The Solheim Cup for the seventh time and the second time in Europe, extending their overall lead of the series by 7-3.
On paper, America had the stronger line up, but from Laura Davies, who was the only player to have competed in all ten editions of the biennial transatlantic tournament, to Annika Sorenstam, who was carried along on a wave of home support, European Captain Helen Alfredsson led a dozen determined competitors.
Re-live all the greatest moments of the 10th Solheim Cup on this emotionally charged

"I've always said that the Solheim Cup is better than winning. Whenever you get the chance to represent your country and do it with 11 other players, it is, it's truly a great feeling to be on this team. "I was pretty excited my rookie year, but I'm even more excited this year. I think we had a wonderful team Captain, Betsy and Beth; they both did such a great job bringing us together. I can't wait for '09."
Paula Creamer, the top USA Team points' scorer in 2007 reflects on The Solheim Cup, and looks forward to another compelling tournament at Rich Harvest Farms, Chicago, Illinois in 2009.
