With a mixture of skill and stamina this year’s Le Mans drivers gave the crowd what they craved – a supercharged night-day speedfest at the toughest race in the world.
Gathered were 50 cars, 150 drivers and 235,000 fans. Twenty-four hours later – with half the competing cars in pieces – Audi celebrated victory and the crowd went wild.
Audi powered their 650bhp V12 diesel powered dream-machines to first and third place, trumping the second place Pescarolo-Judd team by 4 laps, setting a new distance record of 380 laps of the gruelling Circuit de la Sarthe.
This official review is an access-all-areas pass to the racetrack, team areas and lively campsite atmosphere, capturing all the tyre blow-outs, pit-lane stops and the thundering race action Le Mans is so renowned for.
Highlights of the qualifying rounds are also included as a DVD extra with expert commentary by Christopher ‘voice of Le Mans’ Tate keeping you entertained throughout. This is the definitive record of the ultimate endurance race.
