This extraordinary race - the 1992 Nurburgring 24 hours - possibly featured the biggest grid in the world, as nearly 200 cars in three different categories start the event. With classes for everything from German Touring Car vehicles to standard road vehicles, the fourteen mile circuit, which features a combination of the 'old' and 'new' circuits is not only extremely busy but packed with incidents with more retirements than most races have starters.
