Tracking down quality footage of the great Enduro events of the past is no mean feat – but as anyone who watched the first volume of Enduro Classics knows, it is worth the effort!
This DVD continues the story of the International Six Day Trial into the 1960s, with colour footage of the ‘Olympics of Motorcycling’ in 1960 and 1966 and a look at how the sport developed with the final round of the 1981 European Two Day Enduro Championship. Selected from the BP Video Library, these archive films show the often gruelling conditions competitors faced, and demonstrate the effort, stamina and skill. They are also a wonderful opportunity to see, and hear, some classic dirt bikes in action, including Moto Guzzi, Royal Enfield, Puch, AJS and even Lambretta!Austria International is the story of the 35th ISDT, with plenty of action and a spell of controversy! Ife Er Folge charts the 41st ISDT, as riders, including legend Sammy Miller, tackle a very demanding event. The Scandinavian-accented commentator will raise a smile, and you’ll want to watch the slow motion sequences over and over.
Finally, Austrian Enduro takes us to the final round of the 1981 European Two Day Enduro Championship. Broadcasting icon Stuart Hall commentates on the battle between stars of the day including Geraint Jones, Derrick Edmondson, John Knight, Alessandro Gritti and Gualtiero Brissoni.
