The official video of the Vincent HRD Owners Club 50th Anniversary International Rally held in the Isle of Man.
The Isle of Man is the spiritual home of the Vincent, thanks to the efforts of Howard R. Davies (the eponymous HRD in the Vincent name), and the 1999 event attracted one of the largest gatherings of Vincent machines ever seen.
Over 300 Vincents & HRDs came together to cross the Irish Sea and celebrate the unique marque at the home of real road racing.
They came from the USA, Canada, Netherlands, Germany, the UK, Scandinavia, New Zealand and more.
From the event headquarters at Villa Marina on Douglas’s Victorian promenade the participants enjoyed sprints, road tours, parades, and displays. The highlight of the event for many was a chance to lap the Isle of Man TT Course on closed roads, giving riders the chance to really stretch the legs of their “superbikes from Stevenage”
The official video showcases the action with lots of footage of these special bikes at rest and being used as they were intended.
Also includes footage of the Scottish stage of the rally, based around Stirling, and the International Riders Rally at Stoke Bruerne, Northamptonshire.
Special machines featured:
Cooper F3 Vincent, Neville Higgins’ Jindivik, Grey Flash, Super Mouse, Mighty Mouse, Egli Vincent, TT HRD, Seeley Vincent,
