EXETERIn September 2001, the Railway Diary team visited Exeter St. Davids to record railway activity in and around the station complex. As well as this, we also featured a ‘roving camera’ which travelled in stages between Exeter and Newton Abbott to include many of the classic locations between these points.
STAFFORDThe station at Stafford is legendary amongst rail enthusiasts for its abundance of loco hauled workings – from electrics and 47s on passenger, to the wide variety of freight which, unlike at many other West Coast Main Line locations, all pass through the station. The Railway Diary team visited the station in May 2001 – and they weren’t to be disappointed.
TOTON & NOTTINGHAMIn July 2002, the Railway Diary team visited Toton to record railway activity around this busy Midlands station. As well as several camera positions around the depot’s yards and complex, we also featured a camera at Nottingham Midland to capture the many freight and passenger services which pass through the station.
In addition to the non-stop procession of freight, passenger and parcels workings, the locomotive identities, passing times and working details are included as ‘on screen’ captions. A brief commentary is also added to further enhance your enjoyment of the proceedings!
