Jambo the gorilla shot to international fame in 1986 when a five-year-old boy fell into the gorilla enclosure and lost consciousness.
Jambo stood guard over the boy while he was unconscious, placing himself between the boy and other gorillas. He later stroked the unconscious boy. When the boy regained consciousness and started to cry, Jambo and the other gorillas retreated, and an ambulanceman and two keepers rescued the boy.
This DVD tells us the full story of the Jersey Zoo gorilla family, including dramatic pictures of Jambo guarding the boy and how he was rescued.
