The season where champions became legends
Witness one of the all-time great sporting performances, as Max Verstappen launched towards an incredible third FIA Formula 1® Drivers’ World Championship in a row. Sergio Perez and the whole Red Bull team came along for the ride, fighting off fierce competition to battle for honours and break records.
New challengers and familiar faces
The grid for 2023 was an intriguing proposition. Fernando Alonso returned to the sharp end of the pack for his first competitive season in almost a decade, while rookie Oscar Piastri challenged rising star Lando Norris at McLaren. Elsewhere, Logan Sargeant flew the flag for the USA, and the paddock welcomed the return of Daniel Ricciardo.
A global spectacle, with a glorious new addition
With 23 races scheduled across the globe, including the enticing prospect of a first ever Formula 1® race in Las Vegas, 2023 was always going to be a season to remember. It didn't disappoint. From the wet weather chaos in the Netherlands and Australia's red flag-laden race, to one of the sport's greatest ever qualifying sessions and Esteban Ocon’s podium in Monaco. It was breathless, bombastic, and utterly beguiling.
