1991 marked the third season of the British Formula 3000 Championship that was tinged with tragedy when rising star Paul Warwick was killed in an accident at Oulton Park.
Driving for the Mansell Madgwick Motorsport team and having won the opening 4 races of the season, Warwick was leading the Championship at the time of his untimely passing and was posthumously awarded the 1991 Driver’s title.
