Desperate to dispel the ridicule of their peers, two life-long friends attempt to travel 4,000 miles through seven countries, across two continents in a car bought for £100.
With no prior knowledge of car mechanics, two of London’s brightest young stand-up comedians, Alexis Dubus and Sy Thomas, embark on an epic journey of friendship and self-discovery.
In company with others mad enough to take on the challenge, the friends set out on a fraught and highly eventful journey from Plymouth in England to Banjul, the capital city of The Gambia.
When things go wrong with their car they must rely on their charm and wits to get them through if they are to have any chance of reaching their destination - especially when they have to cross the Sahara Desert with a malfunctioning clutch.
To give them more of an incentive to reach their goal if they make it as far as Banjul, their car - or what is left of it – will be auctioned off to raise money for local charities.
