In the history of motor racing, the eighties has always been one of those decades that delivered. Some credit has to go to the fantastic drama supplied by the ETCC, and 1985 was certainly an indispensable year!
The advent of Group A brought an influx of European cars including the Eggenberger Volvos. The locals were keen to show that they still held the upper hand in this feisty competition. In the end the Volvo's came on strong and Brancatelli/Lindström took the driver's championship at the penultimate round with three wins at Zeltweg, Salzburg and Nürburgring.
The manufacturers’ championship was yet again an Alfa Romeo walkover.Featuring superb montages of action from Silverstone, Spa, Vallelunga, Monza, Nürburgring, Brno, Estoril, Jararma and more, this is a compelling look at the progress and tension behind the ETCC. Don’t miss a single cliff-hanging moment of top touring car entertainment!
