Britain's premier sand race once again provided more than its share of speed and spectacle as 1,000 competitors are let loose on a spectacular 3 mile course. Speeds of over 100 mph were reached on its mile long straight and the many natural and man made dunes were ready to trap the incautious (or tired!) riders . Solos, sidecars, trikes and quads -- scramblers enduros, trials and trail bikes - all let loose for three glorious hours of fun and mayhem by the seaside! The entry contained many GP stars and 500, 250 and 125 cc works machines. Also featuring Arena Trials with the final round of the '87 Arena Trials championship.
