Belgian Georges Jobe (Honda) had taken advantage of World Champion Dave Thorpe's absence through injury. The patriotic British crowd were hoping their man could get back into the 1987 championship with at least one win here. But Jobe was in top form and even total failure would not see him toppled from the lead. Not far behind Thorpe was Kees vane der Ven who had missed the Italian round and also had a point to prove. The cameras capture all the cut and thrust of top class motocross where 30,000 fans threw their support behind the home riders. Watch this superb video and discover who took the big share of the points.
