Round 14 of the FIM 500 cc World Road Racing Championships took place at the Hungaroring near Budapest. The famous 'fast four' of Eddie Lawson (Yamaha), Wayne Gardner (Honda), Kevin Schwantz (Suzuki) and Wayne Rainey (Yamaha) were threatened by young Australian Mick Doohan (Rothmans Honda). Riding faster and faster, the determined Aussie roared his way towards the big time. The quarter litre protagonists put up another dazzling display of hard, tight riding with John Kocinski in no mood for failure! His bitter rivals Helmut Bradl (Honda) and Carlos Cardus (Honda) also provided spectacular performances to keep the championship wide open. Another rivetting round to add to your collection of 1990 Bike GPs.
