Product description

The anticipated return of 1985 250cc and 500cc World Champion Freddie Spencer added a lustre of speculation to the 1987 German GP at Hockenheim. Eddie Lawson (Yamaha) was determined to get cracking in his title defence and Honda’s Wayne Gardner was anxious to improve upon his runner up position the previous year. Randy Mamola (Yamaha) had also expressed his intention that this was to be the year in which the championship would be his. The British riders were also coming good - Ron Haslam on the Elf-Honda, Niall Mackenzie on the factory Honda V4, and Roger Burnett and Donnie MacLeod. The cameras were at the trackside to capture the very best of the action around the curves of Hockenheim.
