In only his second year at the Manx, Ricky Mitchell blitzed his way to victory in both the Junior and Senior races, gunning his 600 Honda to a new Manx lap record of 117.05mph in the Junior. However Mitchell wasn’t the fastest man at the Manx, as two days later, Adrian Archibald smashed the lap record in the Senior on his ex-Joey Dunlop CBR600, with a scorching average lap speed of 117.18mph!
