Description

With his domination of the world of two-wheel racing, including numerous wins at the Isle of Man TT and multiple World Championship victories, it is no wonder Mike Hailwood is still fondly known as ‘Mike the Bike’.

But Hailwood was also a ferocious racer on four wheels.

This photograph, from the archives of LAT, shows Hailwood getting ready for action during a round of the 1972 Formula One World Championship. He couldn’t match his motorcycle success in car racing, but Hailwood scored several top 10 finishes in F1, including a dramatic second place at the Italian Grand Prix in 1972.

This photo is printed onto high quality 375gsm, PH-neutral matte canvas approved to Fine Art Trade Guild and Wilhelm Imaging Research standards. Combined with the Epson pigment based inks, canvases are guaranteed to remain crisp and vibrant for more than 75 years.

Each print is UV sealed for ultimate protection, and is supplied complete with a special hanging bracket for flush fitting onto standard picture hooks.

The canvases are stretched over a finger jointed, kiln dried Scandinavian pine stretching frame.

The canvas print is available in a variety of sizes - A0 (47”x33”/840mmx1188mm approx), A1 (33”x24”/594mmx840mm approx), A2 (24”x16”/420mmx594mm approx), A3 (16”x12”/297mmx420mm approx) and A4 (8"x12"/210mmx297mm approx).

This image is also available as a mounted or unmounted print.
