This classic portrait photograph depicts the legendary Jim
Clark, two-times Formula One World Champion and still one of the sport’s
greatest heroes.
From the archives of LAT, this photo was taken at Monza in 1965 during the Italian Grand Prix weekend – which
ended in disaster for Clark when his Lotus 33-Climax
suffered a fuel pump failure. The retirement couldn’t stop Clark
securing his second world Championship in 1965 though.
