A small group of racers dominated the motorcycle Grand Prix World Championship in the ultra-competitive era of the late 1980s and early 1990s; they are the Bike Heroes.

With his uncanny ability to ride the fearsome two-stroke 500cc monsters of the day in atrociously wet conditions, Randy Mamola might be the most talented Grand Prix riders never to have won a world title - all the same he remains a favourite of the fans 20 years after his retirement.
