The rare glimpse into a road racer’s eyes as they hit the
limit shows the levels of concentration and determination needed to master the
world’s most demanding courses.
In this striking image by Stephen Davison, New Zealand’s
Bruce Anstey is the man behind the visor.
Writing about the picture in his best-selling book Ragged
Edge, Davison said:
‘Evening sunlight highlights the concentration on Bruce
Anstey’s face as he fights the 600cc TAS Suzuki over Black’s Jump in practice
for the 2005 Cookstown 100.’
