As the 1994 World Rally Championship reached its sensational climax on the Network Q RAC Rally, all eyes should have been on title contenders Didier Auriol and Carlos Sainz. However, it was the masterful and invincible performance of Britain's Colin McRae which stole the show.
Toyota's Auriol held an 11 point lead over Subaru's Sainz, making championship victory for the Frenchman seem inevitable.
A series of mistakes dropped Auriol out of the reckoning while the ever-consistent Spaniard Sainz held on to a top three position, trailing his teammate McRae and battling with the Toyota of Juha Kankkunen. However, an exceptional fightback by Auriol and a rally-ending trip into a ditch for Sainz decided the title on the final day.
But McRae was untouchable, winning 13 out of 24 stages on his way to becoming the first British driver to win the RAC for 18 years. The incredible footage on this DVD, including plenty from inside the leading cars, brings you the complete story of an historic event.
Plus, there are two on-board stages courtesy of McRae and fellow British rally star Mark Higgins.
