When, in 1988 the Castrol Jaguars won the Daytona 24 Hours, it was the prelude to a magnificent season which saw Silk-Cut Jaguars win at Le Mans and Martin Brundle finish up as World Champion. 1989 was a disappointment for both the Castrol and Silk-Cut teams but the TWR prepared cars entered Daytona 1990 determined to be as successful as 1988 was. As it’s now known, the Castrol Jaguars dominated the race.
