Have you ever seen one of the 'dream' cars at a motorshow or in a magazine and wondered what it would be like to see it on the road or even experience being in one at speed? Well, now the creators of the Supercar Rally and this video can bring your dreams to reality.
Only one-off prototypes and concepts and the most outstanding production cars took part in the incredible 2001 event. Lamborghini Diablos, Ferrari F50s, Bentley Continentals, a Koenigsegg, a Pagani Zonda, an Aston Martin Twenty Twenty... an extraordinary fusion of awesome performance, exquisite styling and innovative engineering. The Lamborghini Murcielago also made its first public appearance.
Some of the most colourful characters in the motoring world were the lucky participants. Former Le Mans winners Derek Bell and Stanley Dickens, sportscar racing legend Toine Hezemans, celebrated designer Fabrizio Giugiaro... not to mention the man who builds cars for the Sultan of Brunei, Jochen Dauer! Their mission was to drive from Paris to Monte Carlo, taking in some of France's best roads, displaying these automotive works of art in motion.
This is the record of their incredible journey.
