Product description

Three classic motorcycle battles. During this exhilarating season the Sidecar TT, Senior TT and Ulster Grand Prix races were captured in colour, complete with unique commentary and soundtrack from the era. Featuring heroes John Surtees, Dickie Dale and Bob McIntyre.

"Two of the iconic events counting for the Road Racing Championship are featured on this DVD - the Isle of Man TT and the Ulster Grand Prix. At the Isle of Man, we see the sidecar TT, run over the 14-mile Clypse Course with a massed start, with the works BMW teams of Hillebrand, Schneider and Noll battling with the best British crews for honours. There are also several shots of Aussie battler Bob Mitchell who finished fourth in this event. The blue-ribbon Senior TT sees MV-mounted John Surtees win his first TT by defeating the mighty Moto Guzzi squad of Bill Lomas, Dickie Dale and Australian Ken Kavanagh. The scene then shifts across the Irish Sea to the 7.4 mile Dunrod circuit for the 350cc, 500cc and Sidecar Ulster GPs. The Senior event is particularly interesting in that Australian Bob Brown and New Zealand Peter Murphy finished second and third on their Matchless G45s behind John Hartle - the best-ever result for the Matchless twin" Old Bike Magazine Australia
