On the 11th August 1968, British Rail ran its final steam passenger train from Liverpool Lime Street for a tour that would forever be remembered as the ‘Fifteen Guinea Special’. Almost 40 years later to the day, The West Coast Railway Company ran another ‘Fifteen Guinea Special’ designed to duplicate - as far as possible - that historic journey.
The Anniversary Express DVD is an essential film record of this historic tour, with camera crews at numerous trackside and station locations recording the spetacle throughout the day and night.
