The Manx Grand Prix is often thought of as the TT for amateurs, in actuality, the races are very different from the TT. It has different rules, different bikes, including two-stroke and classic machines, but the dices are just as thrilling, bringing spectators from all over the world back year after year.
All eyes were on the hot favourites, team mates Ian Pattinson and Seamus Greene riding for Martin Bullock, and they certainly did not disappoint! Greene looked like he had the Junior in the bag, only to be pipped at the post by Pattinson when he suffered mechanical failure. Greene got his revenge in the Senior, however, by not only snatching victory but smashing the race record by 40 seconds, so Pattinson had to settle for second place.
