Oliver's Mount is the perfect venue for a celebration of the history of motorcycle racing. The 2.43 mile track has always been regarded as a challenge for man and machine, with a racing heritage dating back to 1946 - the first year after the Second World War.
There is no greater thrill for a race fan than to see classic bikes brushing the banking only yards away from where you stand - you can feel the wind, see the rider clicking through the gears and twisting the throttle, and even smell the distinctive tang of Castrol 'R'.
1950s Manx Nortons, 1960s and '70s four-cylinder Italian and six-cyliner Japanese exotica, plus 1980s GP bikes like the Suzuki RG500 will be there with bikes like the BSA and Triumph triples to set your ears tingling in waves of nostalgia.
