For thirty years Jeffrey’s Bay in South Africa has lured surfers from across the globe to its shores to sample some of the finest waves on the planet. The world’s top 44 surfers arrived at the legendary J Bay July 2001 to battle it out for the Billabong Pro title and vital World Championship Tour Points. J Bay marks the half way stage of this year’s tour and the pressures mounting for both the surfers in contention for the world title and for those who have made a slow start to the season.
