The tenth round of the 1989 world series provided a superb spectacle of world class rallying despite the heavy rain. It soon became apparent that Juha Kankkunen, Kenneth Eriksson, Ingvar Carlsson, Markku Alen, Jorge Recalde and others were not going to find things easy! The Toyotas of Kankkunen and Eriksson were a threat to Lancia who increased the boost on Alen's car which had the opposite effect to what was hoped for. Alex Fiorlo made a spectacular one-point landing, nose-first, smashing his spotlights and steering but it wasn't bad news all the way and you will find many light moments in this thrill packed recording.
