After Spaniard Luis Gallach's shock win in the opening round, the 1987 World Trials Championship moved to Belgium. Champion Thierry Michaud (Fantic) was determined not to be deposed this time, but once again there was a dramatic shake up. Local hero Eddie Lejeune (Honda), Luis Gallach and Gabino Renales (Gas-Gas), Jordi Tarres (Beta) and Andreu Codina (Gas-Gas) and Steve Saunders (Fantic) were all anxious to gain valuable points. Marvel at the throttle control, thrill to the third gear do-or-die charges up the rock faces. Wonder at the balance of the monoshock machines as they perch on knife edges with every mark dropped representing disappointment to the loyal supporters in the colourful cosmopolitan trials circus.
