Honda's hope for a blaze of glory at the '79 British GP fizzled out when Mick Grant fell off the oval-pistoned NR500 four-stroke Grand Prix machine on its debut run. The race was won by Roberts (Yamaha) by half a wheel from Sheene (Suzuki).
