"Lotus fans: you'll love it" Autosport

"A fascinating slice of motor racing history" Motorsport News

This incredible archive film charts the move to turbo power by the JPS Lotus Formula One team.

Starting from the announcement in 1982, exceptional behind-the-scenes footage takes you through the full development of the chassis which would carry Renault's hugely powerful turbo engine in the 1983 season.

With unprecedented access to the Lotus headquarters in Norfolk, you follow the process from design and model building to racetrack as Elio de Angelis and Nigel Mansell give the new car its first test. The period also saw the tragic loss of the legendary Colin Chapman, and the film shows how his team overcame his death and continued developing the car which would create a new era in Lotus history.

The DVD also includes, Anatomie d'Un Depart, an extraordinary short film showing the build up to a Grand Prix start, including rare footage of drivers like Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost preparing to race.

"Behind the scenes at Team Lotus for the design, build and maiden appearance of its first turbocharged F1 car, the Renault V6-powered 93T of 1983. The film focus on what was the first Lotus since team founder Colin Chapman's death at the end of 1982. Lotus fans: you'll love it" Autosport

"Lotus Goes Turbo has been dusted off from duke's archives and offers an insight into the operation of a Formula One outfit back in the early 1980s. It follows the development of the Lotus 93T from a design concept to a complete F1 machine. Interviews with team chief Peter Warr, designer Martin Ogilvie and other key figures in the team take on an extra poignancy when you consider that Colin Chapman had died of a heart attack just a few months earlier. The short running time might put off some viewers. It would have been great if duke had been able to include footage from the ensuing season, in which Nigel Mansell and Elio de Angelis raced the Renault turbo-powered car, to bring the film into context. It is nevertheless a fascinating slice of motor racing history" Motorsport News
