Two all-time classic road racing films on one DVD!
The Road Racers goes behind-the-scenes and into the lives of road racers Frank Kennedy, Mervyn Robinson and Joey Dunlop. From the crackle of racing engines at full power during 'unofficial practice', to the spectacular rider's-eye-view of racing on roads barely wide enough to take a car - this is the real thing! Produced by BAFTA Award winner David Wallace who recounted the making of the film in a 2020 interview with the Belfast Telegraph : https://www.newsletter.co.uk/sport/motorcycling/road-racers-filmmaker-david-wallace-remembers-joey-dunlop-ultimate-professional-just-getting-his-craft-2900527
In 1983, V-Four Victory was the first ever high quality recording to properly illustrate what it is like to race on the IOM TT circuit from the riders-eye-view. Averaging speeds close to the TT lap record of the time, the rider was no less than Joey Dunlop riding Honda's ground-breaking 750 V-4. They were not only F1 World Champions, but were almost untouchable on closed public road circuits like the famous TT course and the mighty Dundrod circuit, home of the Ulster Grand Prix. Featuring coverage of the 1983 Ulster GP prior to the amazing on-bike camera lap on the Isle of Man.
