Rachael Clegg's naughty but nice annual calendar edition for TT fans is back for 2017; and this is how she describes the latest theme:-
"As far as thrills go, nothing can beat the Isle of Man TT Races.
The smell, sound and sensation of motorcycles tearing around the 37 and three quarter mile course make for a heady mix that’s allured thousands of visitors to the island for more than 100 years.
Of course, much has changed since the the Jewel of the Irish Sea first surrendered its roads to the world’s greatest motorcycle event, at 10am on May 28, 1907. But the thrills are just the same, and the challenges - though different - just as perilous.
And whether 1907, 1911 or 2016, the qualities required of a TT racer remain as they always have: grit, sheer bloody mindedness and determination.
And this year - the 110th anniversary of the TT - I’m paying homage to the event by diving into the visual vaults of TT history.
Each of the 12 leaves in this season’s Milestones calendar narrates history with unusual visual imagery alongside original photographs from the Mortons Archive.
Jack Emerson’s 1909 TT on the St John’s course, my father Noel Clegg's fracas with a wood pigeon and Hailwood’s comeback are brought back to life in these pages, along with other eventful moments from the TT's long and fascinating history.
This is TT time travelling – and you don’t even need a portal."
