THE MCL MOTORHOMES MSA BRITISH HILLCLIMB
CHAMPIONSHIP – 2009
Rounds 5 & 6,
Barbon Manor, rounds 7 & 8, Harewood and rounds 9 & 10, Gurston Down
The British Championship gains momentum with
back-to-back rounds at Barbon Manor and Harewood, before moving south to
Gurston Down’s high speed Wiltshire downland chase.
After a Barbon
event curtailed by wet weather in Cumbria, it’s over the Pennines to Harewood
the following day where Scott Moran’s challenge to Martin Groves is blunted by more
changeable weather and his father Roger takes top honours. But the two
Championship front runners swap wins at Gurston where a variety of spectacular
cars, from Nic Mann’s amazing turbine assisted sportsracer to the brutal
HWM-Chevrolet of broadcaster and journalist Simon Taylor, do battle over the
fast sweeps of the farmland course.
With
interviews and spectacular on-board action, the DVD also features a tribute to
the late, great Tony Marsh.
