THE MCL MOTORHOMES MSA BRITISH HILLCLIMB
CHAMPIONSHIP – 2009
Rounds 11 & 12,
Shelsley Walsh and rounds 13 & 14, Loton Park
The British Hillclimb Championship visits historic Shelsley
Walsh, motorsport’s oldest established UK
venue, before returning to Sir Michael Leighton’s picturesque deer
park on the Welsh borders, Loton Park.
At a dramatic Shelsley meeting, championship leader Martin
Groves spins out of the Championship lead and rival Scott Moran takes
back-to-back wins. A huge variety of cars, from Austin A35s to 640 bhp
hillclimb single seaters provide spectacular action on the oldest and fastest
hillclimb in the British Championship. Rapid saloons open the programme at Loton Park,
but when the top championship contenders take the stage it’s Scott Moran that
again reigns supreme, extending his championship lead with two more run-off
wins.
Driver interviews and riveting on-board footage
combine to tell the story of a dramatic stage in the Championship.
