A lung busting, test of human spirit and endurance over a 130 mile course of racing - up and down the mountainous road of the Isle of Man. Riders came from all corners of the world - France, Belgium, New Zealand, Holland, Wales, Scotland and the Isle of Man itself. Even the Russians fielded a team for the very first time.
