Spanning three decades of European motorsport, including some fascinating Grand Prix action and some of the more esoteric aspects of four-wheel sport.
From the 1950 Shelsey Walsh and Prescott hillclimbs, the Isle of Man Empire Trophy Races and the first Oulton Park meeting through to the thrills of the ultra-fast Osterreichring in 1972 there’s loads to keep a dedicated fan busy here.
Showing the eclectic nature of the Castrol film cameramen there’s also a brief interlude watching the action on Windermere for an early powerboat meeting.
Highlights include the 1953 Swiss Grand Prix (where Alberto Ascari clinched that year’s drivers championship from Fangio) and Rouen GP 1962 – Porsche’s only Grand Prix victory.
