Steve Lamson set out to retain the USA 125cc No.1 plate, but many young riders hoped to stop Lamson, including Pichon, Windham, Lusk and Shiek. Britain's Jamie Dobb won a heat, but as the 125cc Championship goes from the East to West and North to South it is Lamson who has the last laugh.
