The nearly nine-mile 'Triangle' course runs between the coastal towns of Portrush and Portstewart with the busy town of Coleraine providing the inland anchor.

The roads are nearly straight and provide some of the fastest real road racing in the World - in practice for the 2012 event Martin Jessopp was clocked in excess of 208mph - and the mass starts mean riders are often jostling shoulder-to-shoulder on the fastest sections of the course.
