Spa Francorchamps, one of the oldest circuits in the GP calendar provided spectacular race action once again. Wayne Gardner (Rothmans Honda) was hoping to shorten Eddie Lawson's lead in the championship as Christian Sarron (Yamaha) grabbed his third pole-position in a row. The two-fifties continued their year-long battle with Honda mounted Sito Pons, Jacques Cornu and Toni Mang. Meanwhile Rolf Biland's ambition was to win the Sidecar World Championship and so far they had won the first four rounds... The slippery Spa circuit caught out all the leading runners with plenty of spins at La Source hairpin and the best action and excitement has been recorded here for you.
